Dealer Diversity Honda is committed to building a dealer base that represents the communities where we do business. Honda continues to enhance the number of minority-owned Honda and Acura dealers through our dealer development programs. The American Honda Dealer Investment Program and the Minority Dealer Training Programs were developed to enable qualified minority candidates the opportunity and resources needed to successfully own and operate a Honda or Acura dealership. AHM Dealer Diversity Initiative Honda's minority dealer development program has two components. The first is the American Honda Dealer Investment Program, designed to lower financial barriers for qualified dealer candidates. It provides minority dealer candidates the opportunity to own and operate a Honda or Acura dealership with an initial investment of 15% of the total capital required. The second component is the Minority Dealer Training Assistance Program, which provides tailored dealer training. This non-traditional program provides Honda or Acura specific training to candidates who have already been chosen for a dealership opportunity. The assistance is customized to the candidate's individual needs. Honda works with organizations like the National Association of Minority Automobile Dealers to assist Honda in identifying qualified dealer candidates. |
