Living Classrooms Whether they are revitalizing a community or tackling a science project, some 13,000 at-risk youth ranging in age from five to 18 are taking part in the Living Classrooms program in the Washington, D.C. area. With its motto of "learning by doing," Living Classrooms teaches youth, through its experience-based approach to education, invaluable life lessons such as teamwork and self-discipline.
