Honda is committed to providing safety for everyone not only for our own drivers and passengers, but also for other vehicle occupants and injury mitigation for pedestrians. As a result, Honda and Acura models* feature the following safety technologies as standard equipmentregardless of size or price:

 |
 | |
 | Occupant Position Detection System (OPDS) - Airbag protection that stops deployment of the front passenger side airbag when it senses that a child or small-statured adult in the front passenger seat is in the airbags' path of deployment.

 |
 | Side curtain airbags for every row of every vehicle* - Cover the side windows in a sufficiently severe collision. Our light trucks have a rollover sensor to deploy the side curtain airbags in the unlikely event of a rollover.

 | Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) - Designed to help minimize the collision force in the event of a frontal impact with a vehicle of a different size and weight by spreading collision forces over a larger area of the body and frame. This helps to alleviate concentrated impact forces that could cause or increase injury.

 | Pedestrian Protection - External features such as the hood, fender and windshield wiper systems are designed to help reduce pedestrian injuries.

 | Anti-lock braking system (ABS) - Technology that helps the driver maintain steering control while braking.

 | Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) with Traction Control - Standard on all Honda trucks. VSA and traction control work together to help the driver retain steering control by detecting and correcting understeer or oversteer.

Seat belts are the single most effective safety device for drivers and passengers. All Honda vehicles come standard with 3-point seat belts at all seating positions.
All children are safest when seated and belted in the back seat. Infants and smaller children must be properly restrained in child seats.
